River Fishing

Fishing – River

Lets go Fishin!

Can you keep a secret? The Apalachicola River and the Brothers River are home to some of the best freshwater fishing in the South — and man is it gorgeous out there.

You can fish till your heart is content for bream (the big red-bellied kind), shell cracker, large and smallmouth bass, channel catfish and the elusive and huge flathead catfish — and certain times of the year you will can to enjoy running a trotline or checking bush hooks.

This trip is a southern tradition that can be exciting or relaxing or most likely both.

Our 25’ quad fish pontoon boat is perfectly designed with the river fisherman in mind — plenty of room, comfortable fishing chairs, and all-day shade. Having fished these rivers his whole life, our Captain knows the spots – handed down through generations of river riders and legendary fishermen (and women).

Bring your own cooler, food and drink – and fisherman’s luck. We’ll bring the rods, the poles, the bait, the tackle — and the fishing guide experience that comes with generations of riding these rivers.

We can take up to 6 guests.

Half Day trips leave at 8:00am and return at Noon or leave at 1:00pm and return at 5:00pm – $450

We’ll pick you up in the quaint river community of Howard Creek – at the Howard Creek Landing – located off Highway 71 midway between Wewahitchka and Port St. Joe and the very end of State Road 387 (that’s Doc Whitfield Road). And Yes, you’ll probably need to use a map the first time.
