The Dead Lakes Tour

The Dead Lakes . . . For those of you who haven’t seen them, you won’t forget the beautiful, serene and haunting Dead Lakes.  For those of you who have, the images of this special place last a lifetime.

Located near Wewahitchka in northern Gulf County, the Dead Lakes is 6,700 acres of still water, diverse ecosystem, peaceful scenery, and unique natural beauty among the remnants of once mighty cypress and tupelo trees.

This is a great trip for photographers, nature lovers, folks who appreciate the peace and quiet of nature pierced ever so subtly by a songbird or a fish strike, and sore eyed travelers anxious to see and hear something different.  We promise, you won’t see a place like this anywhere else in Florida.

(See our Fishing Charters if you want to fish – this trip is for the photographers, sightseers, adventurers and nature lovers)

We can take up to 6 guests.

Half Day trips leave at 8:00am and return at Noon or leave at 1:00pm and return at 5:00pm – $300.

We’ll pick you up at the Dead Lakes Boat Landing – located off Highway 71 just north of Wewahitchka at the end of Gary Rowell Road. You might need to use a map the first time, just sayin’.
