The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has set the 2019 bay scallop season for Gulf County to be August 16th through September 15th.
- Daily Bag Limit: 2 gallons of whole bay scallops in shell or 1 pint of bay scallop meat per person; Maximum of 10 gallons of whole bay scallops in shell, or 1/2 gallon bay scallop meat per vessel\
In late summer and early fall the Bay Scallop is King around here. St. Joe Bay is home to one of the largest bay scallop harvests in America. We even have a Festival celebrating the Scallop here in Port St. Joe
Scalloping is easy and fun. During the season (especially early in the season) they’re everywhere. You can find them snorkeling or wading.
